Unfortunately this line of work involves a lot of people and some of those people are like that and there aren't many options to avoid that as you need people for this to work. Even if you pull yourself by the bootstraps without ever collabing/getting help with art/getting help with editing/ getting help with marketing/ getting any other kind of help. You still will have fans, fans that with one hand the pay you and with the other are being what you said in your post.

There's a silver lining here, you can eventually start encouraging wholesomeness and discouraging this kind of behaviour by being a positive influence.
A good analogy would be, you can't clean the dirty ocean without getting into the ocean yourself.
