As long as you're not breaking our Terms or Community Guidelines, which can be found always in the footer or at https://vtubers.me/terms_of_us... you're very unlikely to get punished here. I would match rather try to update the policies, rather than try to punish users for something not in it, if necessary. Always open to feedback regarding them.
I wouldn't say try to reach as many people as possible, but rather those with similar interests, that way they continue to engage with your posts. So use trending, but applicable, hashtags and watch the Explore tab for users with similar interests.
